Biography
Thanks for checking out my blog! My name is Nathan Wallace. I am a 30-something man who is married to a wonderful and godly woman for more than a decade, and a father to three amazing children. This blog has been started to continue writing habits, share about personal experiences with a great God, and provide people access to numerous great resources.
My story is a story as one of God's many modern day prodigal children. I grew up in a pastor's home with periods of spiritual warfare. The spiritual war I engaged in was full of tempestous events including affliction, addiction, and anger (even after being saved). I began my path in sanctification and spiritual growth after hitting rock bottom in depression towards the end of high school when I realized I didn't want to run from God's calling to vocational and active ministry anymore. Romans 11:29 says that God's gifts and call are irrevocable. That is so true! No peace or enduring assurance can be found where his word is avoided.
After high school I began my spiritual growth, and started my family. Spiritual growth is normally filled with ups and some downs for all people. Even in growth I was still learning to trust our Lord's will, and attempting to fulfill His will in the political science field instead of His calling for me into pastoral ministries (surely that didn't work). Ultimately, this has led me and my family together in His service to the Dubuque area in Iowa to learn at Emmaus Bible College, serve the people of the Dubuque area, and serve our church family at New Life Church.
God's love, grace, and mercy are life changing! For Him I will serve all of my days committing myself to biblical studies, and serving others in prayer, preaching, discipleship, and deliverance ministries. I am currently involved as a member of Dubuque's New Life Church where I am active in media ministries as well as assisting the worship team and preaching from time to time. Blessed be God for he has answered my prayers and loves me always!
